Swifter, Higher, Stronger" Tae Kwon Do is an Art that implies a way of thinking in life and particularly in instilling moral civilization and generating the power for justice. Korean TKD certification requires a deep commitment from students and or strong support by parents. The Korean warriors defending their homelands were often driven unmercifully with endurance tests for discipline, and leadership. Traditional Tae Kwon Do testing for these young students included the demonstration of proficiency in Korean terminology, the memorization of the philosophy of Tae Kwon Do, ten traditional patterns, twenty self-defense moves, sixteen one step defenses, numerous hand and foot breaks including aerial breaks. Our martial arts students are challenged to exhibited perseverance and indomitable spirit in their quest for this type of perfection. Master Dominick follows the certification standardized for USA International Tae Kwon Do Federation (ITF) patterns. Rich in the tradition of the warriors of ancient Tae Kwon Do, you work hard and are tested both mentally as well as physically but when certified you will rank with the best of all Martial Artist. Every movement of Tae Kwon Do is scientifically designed with a specific purpose and a skillful instructor may therefore develop in the student a belief that success is possible for anyone. Constant repetition teaches patience, self-confidence and the resolve to overcome any difficulty. Sparring teaches humility, courage, alertness, accuracy, adaptability as well as self-control. A Pattern teaches flexibility, grace, balance and coordination. Our traditional and “ATKD” programs take into account students who have multi sports agendas, age, size and physical limitation, budget constraints and general family choices that support grades/quality time with families.
